As with a lot of entrepreneurs, Ray Knight began his career because the service he was getting from others was just not good enough. He figured to get it done to the standard of quality he expected at a cost he could afford, and in the time frame he wanted it in, he'd simply have to do it himself. A homebuilder for over 20 years, Ray set up shop at his residence and the rest fell into place. Already interested in the process of taxidermy, Ray observed others and knew the basics. He taught himself the technicalities through video and courses, developing nuances and techniques to create a look unique and natural to each mount and the situation in which it had been harvested.
